"Form the habit of seeing the Christ in everyone." --Myrtle Fillmore

Affirmation: The Christ in me sees the Christ in you.

Our songs today were Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall and We Are One by Heather Frahn (who has a unity.fm profile here.)

For me, it's not just about seeing the Christ in all people, but also seeing the Christ in all situations. Even the painful ones (especially the painful ones) because that's where it feels like real work is happening!

What about you?

I feel that when we form this habit, it helps us be more gentle with our selves and others. If we are seeing the Christ in someone, even when they are irratating us, we can maybe see their persepctive, and really know that they are doing their best. It's harder to be upset with someone when we see that they are sining their Christ light too.

I'm guessing that's "shining" and not "sinning?"

Although that's an interesting thought too--because isn't Unity's take on sin about "missing the mark?" So if you "sin" maybe you missed your Christ light. Let your light die down or even extinguish temporarily.

Yes, I meant shining. While I agree with your thought about sinning, it wasn't what I meant.

Let your light shine bright!!!!!!

Shine on sinners!

ok that might've been too much. i'm edgier than usual lately. i wrote on my blog (www.rants2revelations.blogspot.com [shameless plug!]) about using the song I SAW GOD as a daily reminder to see the divine in everyone and everything. it's soooo easy to forget but I've been practicing for 10 years no so it's getting easier.

So, even if we observe "sin" from ourself or from someone else; plugging their own blogspot for example. We still see them as the Christ. If, we have cultivated this habit. (and it helps when you totally love the guy already.)

If you read his blog, you probably wouldn't view it as sinning.

But you bring up another point, is it easier to see the christ in people we don't know or the people we know well?

I think it's sometimes easier to see the Christ in someone we don't have an emotional attachment to (especially a negative one!) Because it can be difficult to see through baggage and personality and ego to a person's core, but if you don't know anything about them...

That's kinda what I was thinking too Jenny, though a case could be made for either.
