Being More
The quote for this week comes from the late James Dillet Freeman's book The Hilltop Heart: Reflections of a Practical Mystic (One of my favorites--like a spiritual/philosophical essay on life.)
"Working always at the core of our nature is the impulse to be more than we have been." -James Dillet Freeman
Affirmation: I now step into my greatness.
Music: I Still Believe in You, by Mavis Staples & Everything I Need, by Melissa Ferrick
We had a great conversation about stretching beyond where we are and the fear that can involve. Let's hear from you: Do you feel something pulling you towards something new? Is there something you are longing to become?

Today was a wonderful sacred circle, we had 21 people come and I even took pictures! (which I will post later) It was even more special for me becasue my dad is visiting from Oregon and got to come.
This week our song was "Compassion Shake" by LeRoy White.
Our Quote: "In a well-balanced mind, understanding is followed by action."
I am understanding and compassionate.
What is being well balanced? What does understanding followed by action mean to you?
Have a great week everyone, and rememebr to subscribe to our twitter account!

A new year of opportunities!
Welcome to the new year Sacred Circlers!
Once again this week, no sacred circle becasue of the holiday. I found myself walking around the lake trail loop at Unity Village today, enjoying the crisp air, the grace of the deer, the gentle rush of the streams and waterfalls, even the honking of the geese.
I looked through my Sacred Circle card collection, and found this rather fantastic one which I think is just perfect for today.
"There are opportunities everywhere, just as there always have been." ~Charles Fillmore
Affirmation: I am open to new opportunities!
Undoubtably you will have new opportunities in this new year, I hope you will take the time to see the blessing in each.
Much Love,
Rachel

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas Sacred Circlers!
While this Thursday we did not meet for sacred circle, many of us found ourselves in other circles just as sacred. For me, it was around a table with other students and loved ones. We laughed and listened, shared ideas and hugs.
It got me thinking about all the communities we are a part of. Surely we have the family of our birth, but what of the other families we have created?
So today, when we celebrate the rebirth of the Christ in each of us, I give thanks for all my Sacred Circles. Friends, co-workers, classmates, fellow travelers on the journey.
Everything good,
Rachel

Christmas Sacred Circle
Seasons Greetings,
Today we had a holiday themed Sacred Circle. All our music was Christmas, and our wiggle song was Sha-Ring by Brenda Kutz White. It's from the Christmas in the Northwest series which is dear to my heart http://www.cnwparty.com/home.cfm. Our closing song was also from the album, All I want for Christmas (is peace on earth) by Tim Noah.
The quote was:
A gift is a symbol of what we desire for our friends. It would be in conformity with the Christ Spirit to use your time sending out the joyful thoughts that come spontaneously from the Christ Love. ~Myrtle Fillmore
Affirmation:
My gift is the Christ Love.
Thank you all for being a gift to us in this adventure of life.
From the depths of my heart I wish you all the best,
Rachel
